What is hypnotherapy?

In its most simple form hypnotherapy is the acceptance of a suggestion. Hypnosis creates a focused state of attention which allows us to bypass the often critical conscious part of the mind and work directly with the powerful subconscious, meaning you can make fast and lasting positive changes. Through hypnosis you could become confident, you could become a non smoker, you could overcome your phobias, have better relationships and so much more.

Through blending hypnosis and therapeutic techniques we will work together on your goals. We are all different and I will tailor your sessions to your specific needs and requirements, allowing you to get to where you want to be.

You will always be in control throughout the session, all hypnosis is self hypnosis and I while will be there to facilitate, no one can go into hypnosis unless they want to!

What will happen in your sessions?


In your session we will establish goals and the areas you would like to work on. We will discuss self hypnosis techniques for you to try between sessions as well as utilising hypnotherapy during the sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

This is a question with no definitive answer as it depends on many factors. Most people will need 3-5 sessions of hypnotherapy, usually seeing changes from the first session. If, perhaps, you do not have a specific goal but would like to attend sessions for stress relief, or wellbeing purposes, then you may wish to have sessions when you feel you need them.


What if I can’t be hypnotised?

Most people experience hypnosis on a daily basis, its a natural state! That feeling of being absorbed in a TV programme, or when you’re driving and not quite sure how you got to where you are. It’s quite rare to not be able to enter a hypnotic state. Usually, it’s the case that someone finds it difficult to go into hypnosis, you might not feel okay enough to let go (this is okay and something we can work on!). If you are part of the small number of people in the population who cannot go into hypnosis, you might benefit more from a different kind of therapy, please feel free to look into the other therapies I offer.

Hypnotherapy sessions cost £80 and last 60 minutes. The amount of sessions you need will vary depending on your presenting issues, however, most people find either their issue has been resolved, or significantly reduced within five sessions with a positive impact from session one. You also have the option to choose a package of four sessions for £240 reducing each session by £20 

I offer a free phone, or video consultation lasting up to 30 minutes
