What is counselling?
Counselling provides people with the space to talk about current difficulties, or problems from the past, it can help you to become aware of patterns and explore your thoughts and feelings.
Counselling can help with increased insight, change and growth but it can also be challenging and require some commitment. Counselling can range from short term work to longer term work, we will review as we go and check in with how the process is going for you.
As your counsellor I will meet you where you are, ensure that you will be at the focus of the work and work at your pace to help you get to the root of what is going on and feel empowered to change. Every person who comes to counselling is unique and as an integrative counsellor I will draw upon different theories and methods to best support you and your needs.
People come to counselling for various reasons sometimes this is because life has become overwhelming perhaps due to loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck. Sometimes because life has presented them with a challenge and they need to talk about it with someone, and sometimes people are trying to get to know themselves better and explore their personal development. It is common for people to not know what their issue is but know that they need some help.
